"Captive Lemon" is from 2007; about the time I started to adopt the style I paint with now. It's interesting to see some of the early choices I made to capture the sense of realism; in particular the exaggerated refractions and other light effects.
Although I would probably paint this differently today, I like this piece a lot, and am always proud to show it.
