Special Charity Auction

Painting a day: Glass Creamer and Red Book
"Glass Creamer and Red Book"
Oil on linen on panel, 5 x 6 inches

Sold

While there's no doubt that these are difficult times we're in, I think it's good to remember that there are plenty of people in the world who are in much worse shape than we are. I was fortunate to have enough to eat today, but certainly not everybody can say that.

To that end, I've set up the above painting as an eBay Giving Works auction. 100% of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to Action Against Hunger, an international relief and development organization committed to saving the lives of malnourished children and families while seeking long-term, sustainable solutions to hunger. Furthermore, this painting will be shipped for free, and I will put it in a gilded frame, also at no charge (unless the purchaser specifically requests that it not be framed).

You can learn more about the eBay Giving Works program here, and more about Action Against Hunger here. You can view a CharityNavigator evaluation of Action Against Hunger here. Based on my research, I believe this to be an extremely reliable and effective charity.

Again, all of the proceeds from this sale will benefit Action Against Hunger; it's a great chance to buy some fine art and benefit a fine cause. Please consider bidding very generously.

Thank you!

How lovely, Jeff! I didn't know that eBay had charity auctions, thanks for spreading the word. The painting, as always, is beautiful.

Thanks Terry - yes they do - any auction can be set up so that a portion of the proceeds will go to a charitable organization.
