With this one, I felt like the greatest interest actually lay in the damask cloth, not the teapot. Or, at least, that it really tied the painting together. That is, of course, not the normal order of compositional importance. However, the piece did feel dull and lifeless until I started working on the cloth, at which point it started coming alive for me (see the previous days' posts for in-progress images).
I will most likely wait until the beginning of the year to offer it up for sale.
