Almost done



Nearly finished.

And this afternoon, with a smashing good New England blizzard bearing down on us (local news always makes these things sound apocalyptic), I fired up the grill and treated myself to a barbeque; for the last week nothing has sounded better than a properly done hamburger. It's difficult to get beef in India, and anyway I kept strictly vegetarian for the second half of my stay. It was the trip to the open-air market that did it for me. The cloud of flies covering the butchered meat was bad enough, but the condition of the caged chickens pushed me over the edge. I'm sure I could see things every bit as appalling here (and probably on an industrial scale, no less), but... ignorance is bliss... and the burger was delicious.
