"Silver Knife, Waterglass, and Green Bottle"
Oil on linen on masonite, 6 x 8 Inches
I'm definitely pleased with the outcome of this painting. There's something inherently satisfying about a composition where one item is delicately balanced on another (and I know I really like this device - a lot of my previous paintings used it, and a couple of my in-progress pieces have similar compositions). That, plus the addition of the green bottle balanced with it's own backwards reflection in the waterglass, and the whole design really came together for me. Hopefully you all enjoy it as well!
