Sometimes the appeal - and challenge - of painting an object lies in its very simplicity. I can't imagine anything simpler than an orange placed on a grey tabletop. Simple, or course, doesn't mean easy, as even a humble orange presents real difficulties of portraying light, shadow, color, and form. It was pretty tasty, too.
