Orbit No. 9: Interloper
Oil on panel
3.5 x 6
This is the latest in my Orbit series. Lately, I've been painting on acrylic-primed panels, but I also have a batch of tradition gesso-primed boards laying around. These are great to work with but EXTREMELY absorbent. It's very, very odd to be working with oils, step away for 1/2 an hour, and come back to a nearly dry surface. Kinda throws you off your game a little...
Note: For those IllustrationFriday readers who might be curious, the etymology of the word interloper is: inter– + probably Middle Dutch loper, runner (from lopen, to run).
