A few new ones

Lately I've been noticing and thinking about signs, and feeling the urge to paint them, albeit just as small sketches. So without a lot of commentary, here are the few that I've done this week:

From the notes: "Umm... how to explain this... Route 1 north of Boston is a bastion of mid-century kitsch; much of which seems more at home in Las Vegas than in suburban Massachusetts. The king of it all is the Hilltop Steakhouse sign; a seven-storey green metal cactus with the name of the restaurant embedded within neon-encrusted red bowties. For years I've admired the way it lords over the highway, as it's likely done since Eisenhower was president. "
